After being heartbroken, Melanie was able to write about this experience first-hand and now with her brand new single, Your Love Don’t Bother Me, she wants to convey a message of hope – and assure those with broken hearts that they will feel free again.
Your Love Don’t Bother Me has just been released and is a pop song about the aftermath of a relationship that did not work out. Melanie sings about the desire that the strong hold that this relationship has, can go away.
“I never want to carry so much pain and hurt from a relationship that didn’t work out, and I hope that with Your Love Don’t Bother Me I will help people realize that there is always hope for something better,” says Melanie.
According to her, people sometimes seek comfort in music in their most painful time.
Melanie was in a relationship but when her partner immigrated, the relationship could not stay live. She bravely says she gave her heart enough time to heal.
“I want to give listeners that comfort and safe feeling – and I know they will be able to understand it well,” she explains.
In the music video, which will be released on Friday, October 23, an intense story takes place where Melanie’s relationship is ended via a telephone message.
“After that, I show my growth process. I am first sad and then find inner happiness and freedom,” she says excitedly about the video.
Melanie has been in the music business for a year now after winning in PACISA’s senior vocals division. Earlier this year, she released her first single, Verdwaal, and this song – from the award-winning writer Rudi Claase’s pen – was on Bosveld Stereo’s Top 20 for three months, where it also peaked at number one.
